JON COURSEY - MANAGING DIRECTOR

JonJon Coursey is the Managing Director of Rock Star Recipes Ltd.  He oversees the daily operations of this highly innovative company that produces online music courses.  In the 18 months he has been in this position, he has molded not only an effective management team but also led and added to a specialised creative team that is well known in the online community for its music courses, and leads the world in online guitar learning. Jon was recently a Canterbury Regional Finalist in the 2007 New Zealand Institute of Management Young Executive of the Year Awards.IIn his spare time Jon drums in various bands and enjoys relaxing at home and reading a good history book.

DAVID McKINNON - CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

David is one of the Rock Star Recipes founders. David was teaching guitar to friends and family and the idea formed when Jon and Mark mixed the desire to make money with a passion for music. David and Jon developed the first version of the guitar course and have now grown into managers. David takes an analytical and financial role within the company and helps direct and drive the company.

HONEST JOHN PETERSON - SALES / MARKETING MANAGER

John joined Rock Star Recipes in 2005 and has extensive experience in media and marketing. He manages all aspects of Rock Star’s marketing efforts including liaison with product sales affiliates and joint venture and promotion partners as well as helping research and conceptualize new product development.

DAN ORR - CUSTOMER SUPPORT SPECIALIST

DanDan first started out playing piano, but once he found a guitar in his dad's closet has been playing guitar ever since. Dan oversees the Tech Support department and enjoys the challenges of making sense of the various technical queries that come in and helping customers get up and running with our software.

RUTH SEARLE - PRODUCT DEVELOPER

RuthRuth is classically trained in piano, and has a Bachelor of Commercial Music. She joined the Rock Star Recipes team in 2007 and as well as working on vatious products, she heads up development of Rocket Piano. She enjoys adding her mutli-faceted music taste to Rocket Piano and the RSR team in general.

 

CAMERON FINDLAY - PROGRAMMER / NEW MEDIA DEVELOPER

CamCam has many years experience within the multimedia/web industry and a "jack of all trades", equally at home developing and testing our product websites as he is putting the final touches on video in the editing suite. Outside of computing he spends a lot of time sound engineering and is a well known local DJ and producer around New Zealand.

BEN EDWARDS - PROJECT MANAGER / PRODUCT DEVELOPER

BenBen is a trained teacher but has spent most of the last 10 years writing, playing music and touring throughout Australasia. Ben heads development of guitar products for RSR and has created several cutting edge guitar courses. In his spare time Ben plays music. He is a special man and avaluable member of the RSR team.

 

ASHLEIGH SOUTHAM

Ashleigh Southam started out learning classical piano from an early age. His passion for music led to further study at the Christchurch Polytechnic Jazz School, Auckland University and the Otago University for Contemporary Music. Ash joined Rock Star Recipes in the very early days as the driving force behind the first edition of Rocket Piano. Ashleigh now resides in Sydney, Australia where he continues to teach piano and further his music career.

MOSES ROBBINS - CUSTOMER SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Moses is a singer-songwriter and has been playing guitar for just over seven years. He works with Dan as a customer support specialist and is a member of the guitar product development team. Moses is also training in film and audio production. He loves music and expects to play it all his life.

 

SIMON WATERHOUSE - DESIGNER / WEB DEVELOPER

Simon's role varies from graphic design, web development and video editing to product dev elopement. Simon is responsible for the imaging and aesthetics of all of Rock Star Recipes' products and web presence. In his spare time Simon enjoys photography, skiing, mountain biking and rock-climbing.
